Here is the picture of me in 71 for the back cover if we use it. The picture of myself, Terry & Mike is a picture that Bonnie used for a poster. I dropped it in the frame and put the name above it, the picture of CSN is the cover we were looking at as she took the picture. We even had a 1934 Martin D-18 like they have in the picture. from l to r is Mike Boyd, Terry Smith and me. Get it! Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young is the name of the group we copied, we were "Crosby Steal the Cash and Run tour 70/71" Our Real band name was "The Fantastic Morison Smith Band" Everyone that could not go see the real band, came and saw the very next best thing! US! Tribute Bands were unheard of back then, That how smart Bonnie was.

Middle is Terry; as Stills, and Paul; as Gram Nash.. "Crosby, Steal, The Cash & Run." US "Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young" Them Funny shit aint it... One the cover as the cover of the rolling stone.. It should be killer.. We can call it "The Rolling Stoned" Sex, Drug's & A Rock Band" 1971/72.. That's some funny shit......................... Ha! ha!....

I came across this in the file cabinet. this is one of the AP sheets the Lee Shroph pulled from the AP machine at KBRS. He sent this to me along with the other stuff. 3 days after the shooting. He was astounded by my prediction so many years before the fact.

This picture was taken in 1991. It still has not been totally destroyed by Sam Walton at that time! In the first pages of the book, I tell ya about Dickson Street. A run down if you will, so you know where you, as the reader, are in the scheme of things. Every part of the town looks like this.. that's why it reminded me of San Francisco. The Theater marquee is the one the guy fell through goin after that bag (POT)a shit..Anyhoo... Notice the stop lights at the top of the picture it self, just above your head....... that is where I was standing when I was telling you the layout. (..i.e. I'm looking east from the stop lights at Dickson and University street.) The "WALL" is just to the left and the Grayhouse is just to the right. (out of sight to you in this picture) At the very end of the street, is the the stop light that I said was the only stop light in town the day we turned left there for the first time and looked from there to this end for the first time. WOW! It was so strange! I remember it like it was yesterday. On the left there, where the white car is parked, is the "Palace Drug". It was from that red covered entry way on the right side of the street, that we saw "Shelly" come across the street to us on day one. Where the train track is, is where the gas stationed burned day one. Where the yellow car is, is the corner where the Yellow Brick Road is. Where Jocelyn and I finally kissed. I can still feel it today! In the upper right now is a new brick building; it was not there back then.

That is my daughter Amelia ( Ami) when she was 3 and we lived at the Manor Villa Naked Apt, Complex in Austin. The dog is of Corse the BOOK FAMOUS as you are aware; SPANKY THE DOG! The only dog that could talk good as any of us could. And he was VERY PROFOUND as you have seen in the book! He has a very special way of talk to ya! Like that dog Bryan in the "Family Guy" Spanky was a English Setter, Had a bit a the ol liverpool drawl! His mom was nuts and was eating the heads off her pups as they were being born, she didn't get this one. I did! I had to feed him with a dolls baby bottle till he opened his eyes, saw me and bit me! had him im the palm of my hand when he opened his eyes. He was very protective and inseparable through his life. Were I was! He was! Till Ami was born that is.... Then the turn coat bastard switched sides! Ha! Ha! he was Ami's protector till he died a year later.

Enclosed is a picture of my prized possession, and one of the most FAMOUS surfboards In the World. A Dewey Weber "Performer". I am known and found by this board where ever I go. Its my trade mark! The fin on this board is the only board of its kind that can use that fin (I.e. Hatchet Fin... Looks like a hatchet.) the first & third shot shows that fin the very best. If you can cut out the whole board from the van, or what ever, and lean it against something on the cover.
